To be a reliable member of a team, to work with flexibility and co-operation. ● To develop positive relationships with parents, carers, other staff and professional agencies. ● Assist with the supervision of children at play, meal and sleep times. ● To understand that each child is an individual and have understanding of or be prepared to develop knowledge of childcare and child development. ● To observe and record all children’s progress and achievements. ● To assist with planning age appropriate activities for the children and with creating a stimulating and attractive environment. ● To attend parent evenings and assist in the promotion of the nursery as required. ● To attend all staff meetings and training sessions as relevant. ● To assist with the care, security and maintenance of all equipment and toys within the nursery. ● To be responsible for participating in self development including appraisals. ● To share the responsibility for health and safety, hygiene and cleanliness throughout the nursery, including the children’s cleanliness. ● To be responsible and familiar with all emergency and security procedures, eg, fire drill. ● To adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures and the Equal Opportunities Policy at all times. ● To undertake any reasonable other duties as requested by the Manager or Deputy.
