The role:
Lead a diverse portfolio of projects, delivering excellence across all stages and outputs.
Manage UK-based projects across industrial, residential, retail, commercial, and healthcare sectors, ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and industry standards.
Collaborate with architects, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to develop coordinated design solutions that meet client objectives and project goals.
Drive successful project delivery within agreed timescales and budgets, maintaining our reputation for quality and reliability.
Undertake structural assessments and inspections of new and existing properties, applying expertise in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber to resolve complex engineering challenges.
Carry out structural analysis and design using industry-standard software (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds), ensuring accuracy and consistency in technical outputs including drawings and reports.
Prepare clear, high-quality documentation such as structural survey reports that demonstrate precision and professionalism.
Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and contributing to the development of the wider team.
What you need to succeed:
Proven ability to lead projects independently from concept through to construction.
Strong technical background in both new build and refurbishment structures.
Experience with a range of materials including concrete, steel, timber, and masonry.
Ability to mentor and support junior engineers and technicians.
A proactive, hands-on approach and a genuine interest in high-quality structural design.
Excellent communication skills and experience liaising with clients, architects, and contractors.
Competence in structural design software (e.g. Tekla, TEDDS, ETABS, or similar).
Ideally Chartered with IStructE or ICE, or nearing chartership with demonstrable progress.
MEng or BEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
