Job Purpose
The ECE is responsible for the electrical assembly, installation, testing, and fault finding associated with all company projects and domestic facilities. It requires the post holder to co-ordinate resources and liaise with internal and external key contacts to ensure work is delivered on time and to a quality standard.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
2. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
3. Manage the company Pat Testing System and Log
4. Responsible for overseeing the training of co-workers on how to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
5. Assist with the design of control circuits for existing and new build machinery including wiring to the PLC as well as creating panel layouts
6. Assist the production manager with the compilation of build of materials and other technical project documentation
