We are seeking a Diagnostics Engineer to join an advanced automotive engineering team focused on climate control systems, vehicle diagnostics, and service/manufacturing support. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in UDS, OBD-II, CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, DFMEA, fault detection, and diagnostic strategy development. As a Diagnostics Engineer, you will develop, validate, and optimise diagnostic routines, fault detection methods, health-check strategies, and system logic for climate/HVAC domain systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure robust diagnostic coverage across hardware and software changes, supporting both manufacturing and global service operations. Key Responsibilities * Develop and validate diagnostic strategies for climate/HVAC systems. * Conduct system logic reviews, DFMEA, failure analysis, and create corrective actions. * Lead root-cause investigations and produce technical diagnostic documentation. * Design and validate health-check routines for vehicle electronic systems. * Work with CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet and other in-vehicle network protocols. * Use diagnostic tools and platforms such as TOPIX, MSOSA, or equivalent. * Support service engineering teams with diagnostic guidelines and serviceability improvements. Key Skills Required * Automotive diagnostics engineering (service or manufacturing). * Strong understanding of UDS, OBD-II, fault detection and diagnostic communication. * Knowledge of vehicle electrical networks and embedded system behaviour. * Experience with DFMEA, failure analysis, and system design logic. * Ability to produce clear technical documentation and diagnostic workflows. * Background in climate/HVAC systems is highly desirable. This role offers the opportunity to influence diagnostic quality, serviceability, and vehicle performance across major automotive programmes.
