Our client is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join their Family Centre team. You will play a vital role in planning, organising and delivering high-quality play and educational activities that support childrens learning and development
The successful candidate will be passionate about early years education, able to foster strong relationships with children and families, and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children at all times
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and support children during play (indoor and outdoor) and mealtimes, encouraging independence while providing personal care
* Contribute to the planning and delivery of the Early Years curriculum and track the progress of key children
* Observe, assess, and set individual targets for childrens learning and development
* Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that reflects childrens individual needs and cultural backgrounds
* Operate an effective key person system, engaging parents, carers, and partner agencies in childrens learning
* Maintain accurate records of childrens progress and ensure all information is handled in line with safeguarding, GDPR, and centre policies
* Build positive relationships with colleagues, families, and external partners to deliver high-quality services
* Share responsibility for health, safety, hygiene, and cleanliness, adhering to relevant legislation and policies
* Undertake training and continuous professional development as required
What Were Looking For
Education & Training
* NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent qualification)
* Must hold an Enhanced DBS with Child Barred List
Experience
* Previous experience working in childcare settings with children aged 05 years
* Experience implementing and delivering the Early Years curriculum
* Experience of multi-agency working (desirable)
Knowledge
* Strong understanding of child development and current good practice in early years education
* Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, food safety, first aid, and relevant legislative requirements
* Awareness of family centre services and quality improvement processes
Skills & Abilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office.
* Ability to engage effectively with children, families, and partner organisations.
* Strong organisational skills, able to manage time effectively and work to deadlines.
* Team player, adaptable, and able to use initiative.

This is an office based role working Monday to Friday 8.15am to 4.15pm on a Temporary contract with a view to a permanent role
