Responsibilities
The Radiographer/CT Technologist, under the supervision of the Medical Director of Radiology and Administrative Director of Radiology, is responsible for providing high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists to aid in patient diagnosis. To provide all services necessary within the organization and Department of Radiology to ensure proper patient care while obtaining requested radiographic examinations.

The compensation range is $41.95-$49.35 hourly + $1.50 IV Cert factor.
Garnet Health System provides a salary range to comply with New York State law. The listed range does not include bonuses, incentives, or other compensation. Factors such as location, experience, and credentials may influence actual pay.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology Program; Bachelor’s preferred. (New Graduates must provide a letter from the program and diploma within 3 months of hire if not available at the time.)
Minimum Experience: Six months CT scan experience preferred or completion of CT training program, including didactic and clinical rotation, or commitment to complete Garnet Health CT Scan training.
Required Certification/Registration
* NY State Radiologic Technologist License
* ARRT (R)
* ARRT (CT) - Certification within 12 months of hire
* BLS within 30 days of hire
* NYS DOH Injection license within 3 months of hire
New hires into the CT Scan Training Program must obtain ARRT (R) within 3 months and ARRT (CT) within 18 months, along with BLS and NYS DOH Injection license.
Physical Requirements
Position involves lifting (50-75 lbs.), transferring, assisting patients, occasional bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, standing 80%, sitting 20%.
Working Conditions
* Works in a clean, well-lit, ventilated facility. No routine hazards. Occasional exposure to blood, infectious materials, chemicals, radiation, slippery surfaces, noise.
* Demonstrates physical ability for tasks, visual and auditory acuity, finger and hand dexterity. Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
* Ability to work under pressure, organize, prioritize, and multi-task. May require irregular hours, evenings, or weekends.
