The IFS Business Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions within IFS implementations and enhancements. This role focuses on gathering, analysing, and documenting requirements, ensuring that IFS solutions are aligned with business processes and deliver measurable value. The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders, functional teams, and technical specialists throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
* Engage with business stakeholders to capture, analyse, and document functional and non‑functional requirements
* Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions
* Translate business needs into clear, structured requirements and user stories
IFS Solution Design Support
* Collaborate with functional and technical teams to design IFS solutions that meet business requirements
* Support configuration and process design across IFS modules (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Projects, Asset Management)
* Ensure alignment between business processes and system capabilities
Process Improvement
* Analyse current ("as-is") and future ("to-be") business processes
* Identify opportunities for optimisation, automation, and efficiency gains using IFS
* Support change initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
Stakeholder Management
* Act as a key liaison between business users and delivery teams
* Manage expectations and ensure clear communication across all levels
* Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure business sign‑off
Testing & Deployment Support
* Define test scenarios, cases, and acceptance criteria
* Support system, integration, and user acceptance testing phases
* Assist with training, documentation, and go‑live activities
3. Key Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst within ERP environments (IFS experience preferred)
* Strong understanding of business process analysis and requirements gathering techniques
* Experience working across ERP modules such as Finance, Supply Chain, or Projects
* Ability to translate complex business needs into clear documentation
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Experience with IFS Cloud or similar ERP platforms
* Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies
* Experience with process mapping tools and techniques (e.g., BPMN)
* Relevant certifications (e.g., BCS Business Analysis, CBAP, Agile BA)
