An established and growing EV charging infrastructure business is looking to appoint a Service Engineer to support its expanding portfolio of AC and DC charging assets across the UK.
This is a field-based role focused on fault finding, maintenance, and technical support, ensuring high uptime across commercial and public charging networks.
You'll be joining a business operating at scale in the UK's rapidly evolving energy transition market.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) of AC & DC charge points
Reactive fault finding and repair
Electrical testing, diagnostics, and commissioning support
Working on LV systems (with some exposure to HV environments where authorised)
Liaising with DNOs, clients, and internal operations teams
Completing accurate service documentation and reporting
Supporting uptime targets and SLAs
This role is predominantly field-based, with regional coverage to minimise excessive travel where possible.
What We're Looking For
Qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
18th Edition (BS7671)
2391 or equivalent testing & inspection (preferred)
Experience in EV charging, renewable energy, or industrial electrical environments
Strong fault-finding ability
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
ECS/JIB card
IPAF
Experience working with AC & DC rapid/ultra-rapid chargers
