A highly recommended and reputable firm of Solicitors based in Hastings that specialises in various areas of law to include conveyancing, family and matrimonial matters and litigation is seeking a Secretary / Administrator to support the Conveyancer.
As the Secretary / Administrator you will:
Respond to clients on the telephone, in person and by email.
Deal with initial enquiries on sale and purchase files.
Obtain all required documentation from clients, the other side and liaising with third party providers such as HMLR, search providers and lenders.
Draft sales contracts and re-mortgage documentation as required.
Assist with financial duties (e.g. inputting time recorded, preparing bills, checking levels of work on progress and completion statements)
Undertake the word processing of documents and utilising the Proclaim Case Management system in the creation and management of clients files.
Photocopy, fax and bind documents when required.
Cover the reception desk when busy.
We are looking for a Secretary / Administrator with:
Previous Admin experience, ideally within a legal firm but this is not essential.
Good IT skills.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Willingness to undertake any specific training or courses when required by the firm.
You will be working 35 hours per week: 09.00 17.00, Monday to Friday.
