Technical Sales Engineer

* Salary: £30,000 to £45,000 dependent on experience
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Technical Sales Engineerto join a dynamic team. This role involves developing and maintaining relationships with existing and potential customers, identifying sales opportunities, and ensuring the seamless operation of the Sales Department.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Develop and maintain contacts with existing and potential customers to promote the Company’s products and services.
* Organise and plan personal visits to identify sales opportunities, making technical presentations and explanations to agents and potential customers as necessary.
* Negotiate sales contracts ensuring payment terms and predicted profit margins align with the Company’s policies, unless otherwise agreed by the Technical Sales Manager.
* Liaise with various departments including commercial, projects, drawing office, and workshops to ensure proper transfer of information on new orders.
* Collaborate with the Sales Office Coordinator and other sales staff to ensure continuity of operations in the Sales Department during absences.
* Work with the Sales Office Coordinator to develop and maintain appropriate customer and sales records.
* Assist the Technical Sales Manager in developing and updating the company’s promotional literature, website, and exhibition artwork as required.
* Identify opportunities for new products or product development and coordinate with relevant departments for implementation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in technical sales or a similar role.
* Strong ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with customers and colleagues.
* Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
* Ability to plan and organise personal sales strategies.
* Proficiency in maintaining sales and customer records.
* Willingness to travel and attend exhibitions or conferences as required.
