We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Engineering Team at our clients manufacturing site that is based in Skelmersdale that produce a wide range of recognised snacks !
Working in this fast paced manufacturing facility you will be responsible for the planned maintenance schedule and responding to breakdowns keeping downtime to a minimum ensuring the smooth running and maintenance of the manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will be Apprentice trained with a mechanical bias with a good understanding of electrical engineering ensuring safety standards and procedures are prioritised at all times.

Key Responsibilities of a Shift Technician
Quality Checks of maintenance activities Carry out planned preventative maintenance
Adhere to Health and Safety Standards at all times
Demonstrate hands on ownership and confidence when responding to breakdowns
Prioritise system faults
Accurately record work carried out Collaborate with colleagues
Ensure CMMS is correctly updated
Experience and Qualifications required for an Shift Technician
Minimum NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Qualification, Time Served Apprenticeship Good understanding of Siemens / Allen Bradley
Good understanding of SCADA control systems Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
Strong communication skills
Good manufacturing practices
Salary and Benefits of a Shift Technician
Annual Salary £58,943 (inclusive of shift allowance) 23 Days Annual Leave
Quarterly Incentive between £1,000 - £3,000 annually (KPI dependant) Employer 10% Pension Contribution
