Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Interim Occupational Therapist Service Manager to oversee the delivery and management of occupational therapy services within a local authority setting in Northern England. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team, drive improvements in service delivery, and ensure the highest standards of care for our community.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the occupational therapy team, providing professional guidance and support.
* Oversee service delivery to ensure that all care plans and assessments are in line with relevant legislation and best practices.
* Manage resource allocation and budgets for the occupational therapy service.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality and efficiency of the service.
* Work closely with other health and social care professionals, ensuring seamless integrated service delivery.
* Monitor performance, ensuring compliance with service standards and outcomes.
* Provide expert clinical advice and support to staff, managers, and commissioners.
* Manage the recruitment, training, and development of occupational therapy staff.
Key Skills and Experience Required
* HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with a strong clinical background.
* Proven experience in managing and leading occupational therapy services within a local authority or NHS setting.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, frameworks, and policies in health and social care.
* Ability to drive service improvements, manage budgets, and navigate complex situations.
* A solution-focused approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
* A relevant managerial qualification (e.g., Level 5 or above) would be desirable.
