Head of Revenues & Benefits Haringey Full Time Temp-Perm £550 PAYE Day Rate An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to join a Local Authority in Haringey as a Head of Revenues, Benefits & Tackling Inequality, leading and shaping critical income collection and welfare support services. THE ROLE The Head of Revenues & Benefits will act as the strategic and operational lead for all income collection services and benefits administration, delivering an efficient, high-quality resident experience and supporting the council’s Tackling Inequality agenda. Lead the collection of £340m income annually including Council Tax and Business Rates. Oversee the administration of £250m of local and statutory welfare benefits. Implement and maintain the council’s Ethical Debt Collection Policy. Lead the design and rollout of the Tackling Inequality model in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. Champion digital transformation and drive a customer-focused, inclusive service approach. Provide strategic advice to Senior Leaders and Elected Members on policy and service performance. Deliver income maximisation initiatives, anti-poverty strategies, and continuous service improvements. THE CANDIDATE The successful candidate will have extensive previous experience in a similar Head of Revenues & Benefits or senior leadership role within a Local Authority environment. Proven track record in leading large-scale income collection and benefits services. Strong leadership and people management skills, including managing change and transformation projects. Excellent understanding of Revenues, Benefits, NNDR, and Welfare Policy. IRRV qualified or holding an equivalent relevant professional qualification. Ability to work strategically in a political environment, advising elected Members and working collaboratively with stakeholders. THE CONTRACT Temp : 3 Month Contract, opportunity for temp-permThe pay for the role is £730 per day LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £550 per day.
