Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care. The Care Worker will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and well-being of clients while promoting their independence and dignity.
Duties
* Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition.
* Assist with medication administration as per prescribed guidelines.
* Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life.
* Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs, including those with dementia or Alzheimer's.
* Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
* Conduct regular assessments of client needs and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
* Facilitate mobility assistance, including heavy lifting when necessary, to help clients move safely within their homes or facilities.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare teams.
Skills
* Experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or hospice care is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of patient care techniques, particularly in senior care and dementia care.
* Proficiency in first aid and emergency response procedures.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team while also being self-motivated.
* Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
