Maths and English Tutor – Urmston (M41)
TP Tutors is looking for dedicated tutors to provide 1:1 support in Maths and English to pupils in Urmston (M41). This role is perfect for experienced educators who want to step away from the classroom but still make a real difference to learners who need extra guidance.
You will be working with pupils who may be outside of mainstream education, have gaps in their learning, or require tailored support to rebuild confidence. Tuition is delivered face-to-face, either at the pupil’s home or in a local setting such as a library. Sessions are planned around individual needs, with a focus on improving core subject skills while boosting self-belief and motivation.
We are seeking tutors with solid subject knowledge in both Maths and English, along with the ability to adapt lessons to different ages and abilities. Experience supporting learners on a 1:1 basis is highly valued, as is patience, creativity, and strong communication skills. An Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or a willingness to obtain one) will also be required.
In return, you will benefit from flexible working hours during the school day, competitive pay between £25–£30 per hour, and weekly pay via PAYE with no umbrella deductions. You’ll also receive ongoing support from a dedicated consultant who will match you with pupils and provide guidance throughout your tutoring journey.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
