We are looking for a Business Operations Support Manager to join our English Product Group and help us deliver excellence. In this role, you will collaborate with our Quality and Risk Managers to ensure key areas of our business operate within a robust Quality Management System and also that we are effectively managing risks and business continuity.

Your work will enable us to remain resilient and deliver products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements, foster customer satisfaction, and drive continuous improvement.

We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

About the role

In this position, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the Governance, Quality, and Risk Team across the English Product Group. Your responsibilities will include:

* Collaborate with the Business Operations Manager (Quality) to maintain and enhance the Quality Management System and Cambridge English's internal and external audit programmes.
* Conduct internal audits as required, with full training provided.
* Partner with the Business Support Manager (Risk) to maintain and update Business Continuity documents—including Business Impact Analyses and Business Continuity Plans—ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Support the collection and analysis of KPI data for reporting purposes.
* Coordinate and contribute to projects related to Quality Management, Governance, and Risk.

About you

To succeed in this role, you should bring:

* Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels, including senior managers and academics.
* Proven ability to plan and prioritise your own work, with experience in writing and editing reports and management information.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Experience in stakeholder management, communications, and engagement at senior and cross-functional levels.
* Knowledge of examinations, publishing, or English language teaching, ideally in a global context.

If you would like to know more about this opportunity and what will make you successful, please see the full job description attached to the bottom of this vacancy on our careers site.

Rewards and benefits

We will support you to be at your best in work and to live well outside of it. In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a world-class, flexible rewards package, featuring family-friendly and planet-friendly benefits including:

* 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
* Private medical and Permanent Health Insurance
* Discretionary annual bonus
* Group personal pension scheme
* Life assurance up to 4 x annual salary
* Green travel schemes

We are a hybrid working organisation, and we offer a range of flexible working options from day one. We expect most hybrid-working colleagues to spend 40-60% of their time at their dedicated office or location. We will also consider other work arrangements if you wish to work more flexibly or require adjustments due to a disability.

We review applications on an ongoing basis, with a closing date for all applications being 7th December 2025. Interviews are scheduled to take place on week commencing 5th January 2026.

Please note that successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory background checks including DBS due to working in a regulated industry.
