A brand-new SEMH provision in Essex, is seeking compassionate and committed Teaching Assistants to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, term-time only, permanent role.
The school supports up to 30 pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a central role in creating a nurturing, structured learning environment where every pupil is supported to succeed - academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with teachers to deliver differentiated learning
* Support pupils with SEMH needs in and out of the classroom
* Help students build confidence, independence, and emotional regulation
* Foster strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
* Contribute to behaviour support plans and pastoral care
* Promote real-world learning and post-16 readiness
Qualifications and Experience
* A calm, resilient and caring approach
* Experience working with children or young people (SEMH preferred)
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Willingness to learn and complete relevant training
* A commitment to inclusive, trauma-informed practice
* Enhanced DBS required (or willing to obtain one)
