Milk Education is working in partnership with an all-boys alternative provision in Surrey, seeking to appoint a full-time Behaviour Support Assistant. This role involves supporting students both academically and through mentorship, playing a pivotal role in raising attainment and boosting confidence.

Why choose Milk?

Milk Education is an eco-friendly, purpose-driven supply agency committed to making a positive impact. Our mission is to be the MOST REWARDING agency to work with and for.

Milk Education is partnering with a Specialist setting in Lewisham, recruiting for a School Behaviour Mentor to support students in an all-through SEMH Primary and Secondary school. There are two positions available: one at the Primary site and one at the Secondary. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility in working across KS1-KS2 or KS3-KS4, supporting students with SEMH. Responsibilities include assisting with daily lessons and supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis.

The ideal candidate must be a positive role model, patient, and understanding. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking a new challenge with the attitude of "Everyday is a fresh start." As a key support member in students' daily routines, you should be confident, actively listen, and support students with learning and mentoring.

This is a full-time position starting immediately, working from 8:30 to 16:00.

Key responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Assistant:

* Provide guidance and support to individuals in a mentoring relationship
* Help mentees set and achieve personal and professional goals
* Offer advice and share personal experiences to assist mentees in their development
* Foster a positive and supportive environment for mentees to learn and grow
* Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback
* Collaborate with other mentors and program coordinators to ensure the success of the mentoring program

About you as a Behaviour Support Assistant:

* Previous experience in mentoring or coaching roles
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to build rapport and establish trust with mentees
* Knowledge relevant to the mentee’s goals
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others succeed

Benefits to YOU:

* Excellent rates of pay
* 24/7 access to your personal consultant
* Training support sessions

And much more.

To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:

* Subject to checks including an enhanced DBS, full references (including recent employer), and eligibility to work in the UK
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
