Take a closer look at the role: Job Description: The Build Technician is responsible for the assembly and preparation of Formula 1 cars and related components. This role involves working closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure that all parts are built to the highest standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in vehicle assembly and a passion for motorsport. What you will be doing: · Assembly: Assemble various components of the race car according to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring precision and attention to detail. · Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of all parts and assembled components to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. · Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and other technicians to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues and ensure that production schedules are met. · Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tools and assembly equipment to ensure smooth operations. · Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, inspections, and testing procedures. Document any issues encountered during the assembly. · Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the assembly process, offering suggestions for enhancements and efficiencies. · Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Requirements Qualifications & Experience · Technical certification or diploma in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. · Minimum of 3 years of experience in vehicle assembly within a motorsport or high-performance automotive environment. · Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. · Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. · Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. · Effective communication and teamwork skills. · Experience with automotive tools and equipment. Work Environment Physical Demands · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. · Willingness to work long and flexible hours, including weekends, especially during race seasons. · This position requires manual dexterity, as well as the ability to lift and handle heavy components. · Compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy and all relevant statutory health and safety legislation is essential.
