Overview
The Transport and Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and monitoring supporting IMEX activities across multiple shipping points within the European region. The role is based at Newcastle, UK. Primary objective is to ensure clearance of all goods both importing and exporting and timely delivery to end customer.
This position reports to the Senior Manager Global Supply Chain and is part of the Global Supply Chain team located in Newcastle, UK and will be an on-site role.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and monitor IMEX activities across multiple shipping points within the European region.
* Ensure clearance of all goods both importing and exporting and timely delivery to end customer.
Qualifications
* Minimum two years’ experience in the field of importation and exportation within UK and EU based areas.
* Proven background in working with external freight partners, including creating and working to strict KPI’s and implementing countermeasures and actions.
* Two years minimum experience working with Custom House Brokerage firms in the area of documentation required for clearance.
