Vacancy: Assistant Conservator, Time-Based Media

Overview
This is a new opportunity to work as an assistant time-based media conservator. This role is part of a dedicated project to realise the acquisition of a large gift of artworks to Tate. This role will work with the time-based media conservator to deliver the acquisition of new artworks into Tate’s collection.
Responsibilities
* Develop the understanding of individual artworks, their production techniques and technical requirements, as well as risks for preservation.
* Examine and process time-based media artworks, documenting artworks and equipment, and working proactively within a team.
* Communicate effectively to colleagues and stakeholders; demonstrate effective organisational, time management and planning skills.
Qualifications
You will either hold a recognised qualification in conservation or have equivalent relevant experience for working with time-based media artworks. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop their skills associated with time-based media artworks and equipment.
