Holding the renowned John Deere franchise along with many other brands, we are the market leaders in agriculture, groundcare and homeowner products.​ ​ Our vision is to deliver a preeminent service by being at the forefront of technology, whilst developing a rich and rewarding environment for our employees.​ ​ ​ About The Role We are currently looking for a Machinery Stock Control Assistant to join the team at our friendly pre-delivery Inspection (PDI) centre in Towersey, which is where all of Farol’s new Groundcare machinery is assembled prior to being delivered to our customers. ​ This is a practical role supporting the day to day running of our PDI centre. In this role you will be covering the goods in and goods out, parts and stock control along with the final preparation of new machinery, before delivery and handover. ​ You will be responsible for goods in and goods out (loading and unloading lorries, logging received goods via our computer system) as well as ensuring the workshop and outdoor areas are kept organised, clean and tidy at all times. ​ You will also be required to maintain an understanding of the upcoming work schedule of the PDI technicians to ensure the correct machines are identified, located and made accessible for when the technicians need to start work on them. ​ You will be responsible for ensuring all new machinery assembled and prepared by our Technicians is cleaned and prepared to a high standard, ready for delivery to our customers. ​ This role is an integral part of our business where the key duties include: ​ The preparation of (cleaning and other general preparation) all newly assembled machinery to a high standard and ensuring it is presented in a condition to exceed customer satisfaction Using Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to unload incoming deliveries Verifying and receiving goods into stock Loading and unloading of lorries Working proactively to ensure the correct machines are located and organised in a way that gives Technicians access to them when they are due to start work on that machine Ensuring the PDI centre premises (workshop and outdoor areas) is kept organised, clean and tidy Working outside in the yard in any weather conditions Ensure good housekeeping is maintained Compliance with all Health and Safety regulations Any other ad hoc duties as required by the business ​ About You: We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate great attention to detail along with drive, commitment, and enthusiasm. Skills/experience required:​ ​ Previous experience in a similar position Forklift Licence (ideally)​ Familiarity with Groundcare / Agricultural machinery would be an advantage Basic computer or stock system experience Attention to detail Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan ahead Thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment ​ About The Benefits: We can offer a highly competitive hourly rate dependent on experience, up to 25 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays), company uniform/safety equipment, onsite parking, pension scheme, free financial planning & employee wellbeing service, cycle to work scheme, employee discounts, ​ Hours of work are 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday plus optional overtime.​ ​ Why come to Farol?
