They are known for delivering high-quality, innovative, and sustainable construction solutions. Due to continued growth they are seeking a skilled Building Services Manager to join their team.
Role Overview:
As a Building Services Manager, you will oversee the coordination, management, and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems on various construction projects in the North East. You will ensure that all building services are delivered to the highest quality standards, meet project deadlines, and stay within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the management of MEP services across multiple construction projects
Collaborate with design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure service designs meet specifications and project goals
Oversee the installation and commissioning of building services, ensuring compliance with safety and industry regulations
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards, making adjustments as needed to ensure successful project delivery
Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to resolve any issues related to building services
Provide technical support and guidance to site teams during the construction and post-construction phases
Ensure sustainability and energy efficiency targets are integrated into building services design and delivery
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Building Services Manager, ideally within a national contractor or a large-scale construction environment
Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and building services design
Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously, ensuring high-quality outcomes
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
Degree or HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred
Chartered Engineer status or working towards it would be an advantage
