Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking and food production.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
* Support chefs with basic food preparation tasks, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene.
* Manage waste disposal and recycling in accordance with health regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
* Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
* Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Experience
* Previous kitchen experience is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Supervising experience or team management skills would be advantageous.
* Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods is beneficial.
* A strong understanding of food safety standards is essential.
* Culinary experience will be considered an asset, as well as any relevant qualifications in hospitality or culinary arts.
