Ideally, we are looking to speak with part-qualified accountants who are looking to develop their skills and join an exciting business. This role includes a focus on the customer and sales aspects of the business, along with exposure to management accounting and other areas of finance. The successful candidate must be able to work well within a small team and have the drive to work in a continuously growing business. Role Responsibilities: Accounts receivables ledger - full responsibility for sales lifecycle, including customer billing, cancellations, ledger reconciliations including the bank, and reporting on sales KPIs Credit control function - ownership of the credit control process, being proactive with contact on overdue customers on a weekly basis and highlighting any areas of concern to management in order to improve cashflows Customer relationship management - ensuring all customer queries are answered and resolved in a timely manner whilst maintaining strong client relationships Cross-departmental communications – liaise and communicate efficiently and effectively with staff across the organisation, including senior management Monthly management accounts duties - including, but not limited to, preparation of accruals and prepayments, reconciliation of intercompany accounts, drafting journals for review and preparing VAT returns Continuous improvement activities – initiate and progress automation of business processes with support from the wider team Support the interim and year-end process including the Group Plc Annual Audit General financial duties to support the team and the wider Plc business The Individual: Be a confident communicator, written and verbal, with strong interpersonal skills Have strong attention to detail with the ability to work to tight deadlines Have competent IT skills, with basic to intermediate Excel skills Have excellent organisational and ownership skills Be able to manage and prioritise your busy workload Have experience managing high volume sales invoicing and credit control (preferable) Have experience working with Xero or other cloud-based (preferable) On Offer: Study support towards a professional accountancy qualification Share option scheme 6% employer pension contribution Private healthcare Life assurance at 4x salary 33 days annual leave Birthday off Electric vehicle charging & onsite parking Onsite gym Free weekly personal training sessions available with in-house PT Free weekly massages with an in-house massage therapist For more information on this position and details on how to apply, please get in touch with Gillian O’Neil at Rutherford Cross.
