<p>We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to join the team at <strong><em>Benugo Barbican Centre.</em></strong></p><p>The Barbican Kitchen is located within the iconic Barbican Estate in the City of London. Open year-round from 10am to 8pm, Monday to Sunday, it operates as a vibrant Café/Restaurant offering a dynamic and informal dining experience.</p><p>The venue features acold deli and seasonal salad counter, apizza counterserving freshly made pizzas, and ahot food counteroffering a rotating selection of seasonal meat, fish, and vegan dishes, accompanied by a variety of vegetable sides. In addition, there is astreet food stationwith an ever-changing menu inspired by global cuisines.</p><p>Service isassisted at the counters, with no table service provided. As such, there isno tronc systemin place.</p><p><strong>We Offer:</strong></p><p>Rate: £46,000 to £48,000 per annum</p><p>Contract: Full Time/ Permanent</p><p>Shifts: 5 days out of 7, including weekends</p><p><strong>About the Head Chef role:</strong></p><ul><li>To plan, organise and direct the kitchen team to deliver exceptional fresh and seasonal food to specification, ensuring that we never compromise on taste and quality</li><li>To drive sales and monitor costs through responsibly ordering via quality and preferred suppliers</li><li>To be responsible for all aspects of food safety, health and safety and COSHH</li><li>To manage rotas and scheduling accordingly to the business needs</li><li>To coach, train and develop theteam</li><li>To work closely with the group Executive Chef on menu development</li></ul><p><strong>The ideal candidate will be:</strong></p><ul><li>Experienced working within a high volume kitchen</li><li>Passionate about designing, creating and delivering exceptional food dishes</li><li>Commercially aware- i.e understanding or profit margins, purchasing, budgets, labour, food costs</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p>Benugo has built a culture of inclusivity & progression for all employees.
