The Graduate Apprentice – Human Resources will support the delivery of core HR services across the organisation while developing practical HR knowledge and professional skills through a structured Graduate Apprenticeship programme. The role provides hands-on experience in recruitment, employee relations, employee experience, learning and development, systems and data and all HR administration, contributing to an effective and people-focused HR function. What you'll do: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR team, including filing, document management, and correspondence. Prepare HR documentation and policy updates. Support payroll processes by ensuring timely and accurate submission of HR data. Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.Support the end-to-end recruitment process, including drafting job adverts, arranging interviews, and communicating with candidates Prepare recruitment pre-boarding documents such as contracts and offer letters. Support pre-employment checks and onboarding processes to ensure a positive candidate experience. Assist the HR team with employee relations activities, including absence management, disciplinary and grievance processes, and performance management.Prepare documentation, letters, and meeting notes in line with HR policies and procedures. Support in the effective administration of all employee benefits, including Life Assurance, PMI, OH and discounts platform. Effective and considered review of policies, procedures and employee handbooks on a regular basis. Support the preparation and maintenance of reports for business leaders across the Group ensuring these meet the requirements of the business and review on a regular basis. Support on HR forums across Robertson Group, occasionally leading actions and follow up as required. Assist in the coordination and administration of training and development activities. Support the maintenance of training records and learning management systems. Help evaluate training effectiveness through feedback and data analysis. Contribute to the organisation of induction programmes and development initiatives. Actively engage in the Graduate Apprenticeship programme, completing coursework and applying learning in the workplace. What you'll need: Good level of education, particularly in English/Maths/Administration subjects (4 Highers (B)/A Level/BTEC or HNC/HND equivalent in relevant subject) Good administration knowledge and experience. Good interpersonal and organisational skills. Good communication skills, both written and spoken. Proficient on all relevant software packages including E-mail, Word and Excel. Good team player. Willing to use initiative when required. This role would suit a motivated and people-focused individual who is keen to start a career in Human Resources while gaining a recognised qualification through a Graduate Apprenticeship. The successful candidate will be organised, proactive and comfortable juggling a variety of tasks, with a genuine interest in how organisations support, develop and engage their people. You will enjoy working with others, have strong communication skills and be confident handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. An aptitude for learning, attention to detail and an interest in systems, data and continuous improvement will be important, as the role offers exposure across recruitment, employee relations, employee experience, learning and development and core HR administration.
