We are working in partnership with a specialist Further Education setting for young people aged 19–25 with autism and additional needs, to recruit confident and proactive Teaching Assistants. More than a classroom role This is not a traditional Teaching Assistant position. A key part of the role is supporting learners on a 1:1 basis in the community, helping them access work experience and build independence. You may be: Supporting a learner at a café or work placement Accompanying students to local shops or community settings Helping learners use public transport safely and confidently Building confidence in real-world social and work environmentsThis role requires confidence, initiative, and a strong belief in every learner’s potential. About the setting This specialist provision focuses on preparing learners for independent adult life and employment through personalised programmes.
