About the role
The Office Assistant is a member of the Division’s professional services team with a key role in facilitating the smooth running of the Division. The main purpose of the post is to provide comprehensive front of house service to the department’s staff, students and visitors and will therefore be fully office-based.
The role also involves dealing with basic maintenance and facilities issues as required. The role requires interaction with many people within and external to UCL, and thus a professional and collegial attitude are required.
Appointment details:
1. The post is graded on Grade 6, the annual salary for which ranges from £36, to £41, per annum inclusive of LWA.
2. The appointment is available from 01 May .
3. The postholder will be % office based. Due to the nature of the role, remote working is not possible.
About you
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organisation and time management skills and will demonstrate a flexible approach to work. Previous experience in general administration is essential, and a background working in a similar environment would be advantageous. This post provides an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop or widen their skills in a range of areas. Training and professional development opportunities will be provided, and it may be possible for candidates to shadow other colleagues within the team (for example in finance, HR, communications or teaching administration) to broaden their experience.
