We are recruiting a part time Sheltered Cleaner for Knoll Gardens Baildon. You'll maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across communal internal and external areas within sheltered housing schemes.

Duties include:

1. Clean and maintain the cleanliness of all communal internal areas in
2. Incommunities sheltered scheme, including, stairwells, fire escapes landings, toilets, shower rooms, kitchens, lifts, descaling shower areas, meeting rooms, internal glazing and public reception areas.
3. Clean and maintain the cleanliness of all external areas around Incommunities sheltered scheme, including sweeping bin/smoking areas, litter picking grounds and car park, wiping external window ledges and external lights.
4. Deep clean designated areas such as kitchens and appliances such as ovens/extractor fans, fridges, carpets and upholstery when required.
5. Carry out daily safety and cleanliness checks on equipment and report faults when identified, stock taking and ordering of materials such as chemicals.
6. Use hand and power operated cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, mops and brushes, ensuring all equipment is safe to use, complies with relevant Health & Safety regulations and that all safety advice and instructions are adhered to.
7. Carry out risk assessments prior to commencement of tasks and report on any hazards identified.
8. Ensure works areas, locations and sites are safe and secure and reporting issues or repairs identified.

Requirements

9. A basic knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety Legislation.
10. Previously used a range of hand tools and/or power operated cleaning equipment.
11. Use a computer at a basic level and have previously used Microsoft Word and Outlook.
12. Ability to read and understand instructions on cleaning materials and complete documentation.
13. A flexible and positive approach to work.
14. Physical strength and fitness.
15. Self-motivation and the ability to be a team player but also work alone.
16. Right to Work in the UK - Visa sponsorship is not available.

A basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required for the successful candidate as part of the pre-employment process - Criminal Conviction Checks
