Job Description
The OpportunityExperienced Site Financial Controller required for a 15 month maternity cover to provide strong financial leadership during a period of ongoing investment and operational development.This is a pivotal role at a major manufacturing site, partnering closely with the Plant Manager and the wider Site Leadership Team. You will lead a small onsite finance function and act as the key driver of financial insight, operational performance and robust governance. With significant capital investment planned, the role offers the chance to shape major decisions and influence long-term site strategy.About the role
* Lead the onsite finance function, ensuring accuracy, rigour and timely reporting.
* Present meaningful financial insights to the Site Leadership Team and influence operational and strategic decision-making.
* Drive performance through data-led analytics across cost, waste, productivity and continuous improvement.
* Support business cases for major capex projects and site investment programmes.
* Maintain strong financial governance, overseeing controls, variance analysis, forecasting and inventory processes.
* Manage, develop and support two finance team members, building a collaborative and resilient team culture.
* Work closely with the Plant Manager and collaborate with the central Finance team.
About You
* Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
* Strong background in FMCG or similar manufacturing environments.
* Confident communicator who can engage, challenge and influence senior leaders.
* Comfortable working predominantly onsite.
Desirable:
* Experience supporting or leading capital projects.
* Exposure to operational improvement, site performance initiatives or continuous improvement activity.
