Job Advert: Pipefitter Welder x2 (Electric Arc Welding) Location : Bristol (BS30 & BS16) Start Date : 28th July 2025 ⏳ Duration : 2 months Working Hours : 07:30 - 16:30, Monday to Friday Rate : Negotiable (dependent on experience) Project Type : School Site - DBS check beneficial About the Role: We are currently seeking two experienced Pipefitter Welders to join our team for a short-term contract in the Bristol area. This role involves electric arc welding (SMAW, with potential for GTAW or FCAW) on a range of pipework and associated structures within a school environment. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in pipefitting and welding, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and perform welds in various positions, including overhead and confined spaces. Scope of Work: Perform high-quality electric arc welding on: Steam or water pipes Boiler shells and casings Structural supports and brackets Flanges, joints, and fittings Execute tack welds and final welds in line with project specifications Conduct overhead, vertical, and confined-space welds when necessary Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health & safety guidelines at all times Requirements: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Pipefitting/Welding (no additional codings required) Valid CSCS Blue/Gold card Proven experience with SMAW (arc welding); familiarity with GTAW or FCAW a plus Own basic tools and standard PPE Able to read and work from technical drawings Ability to commute to BS30 and BS16 (on-site parking available) Must provide an up-to-date CV Note : Candidates do not need to be Bristol-based but must be able to travel daily to the site. A valid DBS check is beneficial due to the school environment.
