We have an opportunity for a Registered Nursing Associate to join their team of staff in the Nursing department.
This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Main duties of the job
Deliver holistic, compassionate care that supports patients' personal, physical, and emotional needs.
Undertake clinical tasks such as vital signs monitoring, wound care, catheter care, nutrition and hydration support, and mobility assistance.
Recognise and escalate changes in a patients condition to senior nursing staff in a timely and appropriate manner.
Contribute to ongoing patient assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation and care records in line with legal and professional standards.
Participate in the safe discharge or transfer of patients, ensuring clear communication and continuity of care.

Supporting Clinical Assessments and Planning
Contribute to ongoing patient assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Communication and Collaboration
Communicate effectively with patients, families, carers, and the multidisciplinary team.

Liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure safe, coordinated care delivery.
Patient Safety and Compliance
Adhere to infection prevention and control measures, safeguarding policies, and health and safety guidelines.
Follow medication protocols and support administration of medications within your scope of practice (where trained and authorised).
Report incidents, concerns, or risks promptly in line with organisational policy.
Learning and Development
Maintain your NMC registration through continued professional development (CPD) and revalidation.
Participate in training, supervision, and reflective practice to support your learning and growth.
Support the induction and development of Healthcare Assistants and student Nursing Associates.
Professional Conduct and Accountability
Practice in accordance with the NMC Code, ensuring professional, legal, and ethical responsibilities are met.
Take responsibility for your own actions and know when to seek guidance or escalate to more senior staff.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE?
NMC-registered Nursing Associate.
Completion of an approved Nursing Associate training programme.
Understanding of person-centred care and the role of the Nursing Associate within the wider team.
Excellent communication, clinical, and organisational skills.
Commitment to professional development and reflective practice.
Experience in acute, surgical, outpatient, or community healthcare settings.
Basic awareness of quality improvement, audit, or patient safety initiatives.
Familiarity with electronic health records and care planning systems.
Previous mentoring or supervision experience of junior staff or students.
