We are seeking a talented Risk Manager to join our Marsh McLennan Risk Team. This role will be based in our London office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The Risk Manager will work with the wider Risk Function to ensure the effective delivery of the annual Risk Management Plan and provide valued risk advice to the business. You will play a key role in fostering a strong risk culture across all risk categories throughout the organization. You will be part of a highly skilled Risk team committed to best practices and continuous improvement. You will support various enhancement activities alongside the Deputy Chief Risk Officer and Senior Risk Managers, providing ample learning and sharing your industry experience.
You will have the chance to partner with Marsh and Mercer, work closely with local management, and advise at local executive committees and risk groups.
We will count on you to:
* Help implement the annual Risk Management plan, considering internal and external priorities.
* Assist in delivering and enhancing the Enterprise Risk Management framework.
* Prepare for meetings with Risk Owners and Risk Champions, gaining exposure to senior stakeholders.
* Ensure risk registers are updated with quality information through active participation in risk assessments and engagements.
* Collaborate with Risk Co-ordinators and Champions to embed a consistent risk management approach across Marsh McLennan, supporting risk briefing and training material production.
* Create high-quality risk reports for Committees and Executives, including narratives on key risks and updates on controls and actions.
* Support the review and update of Risk Management policies and the Risk Appetite Statement.
* Participate in Top Tier Risk assessments and ad hoc deep dive reviews with senior executives.
* Contribute to the development and execution of controls assessments.
* Provide training and coaching to Risk colleagues and Risk Champions.
* Support the broader Risk agenda by working with Compliance and other teams locally and globally.
What you need to have:
* Experience in risk management, including risk and control assessments, incident management, control reviews, thematic reviews, risk appetite, Key Risk Indicators, and committee reports.
* Financial Services experience is preferred.
* Ability to effectively engage with senior stakeholders and promote risk management competencies across the organization.
