Wood Process & Energy is recruiting for a Planner to support both Wood and their external clients, in the execution of a FEED scope in which WOOD provide Engineering and Procurement Services.
This position is available in Glasgow office where we recognise the value of hybrid working.

Work scope
8. Preparation of a Base Line Project Schedule for the delivery of multi-discipline Engineering and Procurement Services
9. The identification of Key Dates and Milestones for both Engineering and Procurement services
10. The identification of Key Interfaces, namely deliverables to the contracted supplier for the provision of Construction Management Services. Engineering Work Packs and delivery dates for MPI’s and Long Lead discipline items
11. The incorporation of the approved man hour estimate within the Project Schedule and any approved changes
12. Collection of progress data, for Engineering and Procurement, and subsequent input into the ‘Project Schedule’ to facilitate the production of periodic Progress Reports (weekly)
13. Production of weekly reports
14. Forecasting and Trending of schedule data to identify potential problems and possible solutions
15. Producing visual aids to help explain the schedule of work, including bar charts, network diagrams and histograms
16. Ensuring that all the separate elements of the project fit together and are working towards a common aim Identifying the best series of events in the correct order for the project to finish on time and on budget
17. Carry out all works in compliance with Corporate and Project specific procedures
18. Attendance at relevant progress and planning meetings
19. Travel as required between the home office, project offices and site
20. Adherence to the WOOD company and project health, safety, environmental, quality and ethics, systems, policies and procedures
Deliverables
21. Delivery of an appropriately detailed and robust ‘Project Schedule’ based on the Control Estimate and updated with any agreed changes
22. Production of Engineering Histograms and S-curves
23. Production of periodic Progress Reports by discipline
24. Production of Short Term Lookaheads for each discipline on a weekly basis
25. Forecasting and Trending Utilising Performance Indicators
26. Function as project ‘point of contact’ regarding all planning requirements
27. Knowledge and experience of EPCm contracts
28. Knowledge and experience in planning within an Oil & Gas environment
29. Knowledge and experience in commercial requirements and practices
30. Understanding of UK context and good practices
31. Fluent in English
32. High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to coding level
33. Capacity to manipulate and format large amounts of data and present this in concise reports
34. Knowledge and experience of database systems
35. Proficient in Primavera P6
