Senior Quantity Surveyor – Hospitality & Residential Projects

I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a growing and ambitious construction contractor delivering high-quality fit-out and new-build projects, primarily within the hospitality sector and supported living / specialist housing environments.
With a strong pipeline of repeat business and a highly experienced leadership team, my client is now looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in the commercial delivery of projects and support the continued growth of the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established QS ready to take ownership of schemes and progress toward a future Managing Surveyor / Commercial Director position.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the full post-contract commercial function across several projects, including:

Full financial management and cost control of projects
*
Preparing and agreeing final accounts
*
Managing subcontractor accounts and payments
*
Producing monthly CVRs and forecasts
*
Managing risk and maximising project returns
*
Preparing valuations and applications for payment
*
Issuing contractual notices and change control requests
*
Measurement and pricing of works and Bills of Quantities
*
Supporting tender analysis and negotiations
*
Maintaining accurate project records to support claims
*
Building strong, long-term relationships with clients
Subcontract procurement will be led by operational teams, with commercial support provided as required.
What My Client Is Looking For
They are keen to speak with commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyors who can demonstrate:
*
5–10 years’ experience in a contractor or subcontractor QS role
*
Background delivering refurbishment or fast-track projects (hospitality experience advantageous)
*
Strong understanding of cost control, CVRs and contract administration
*
Experience working across different contract types
*
Excellent negotiation and client-facing skills
*
Strong technical knowledge of measurement and Bills of Quantities (SMM7 desirable)
*
Confident communicator with a proactive, professional approach
*
Full UK driving licence (essential due to site travel)
A degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
