Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel
SSQ is working with a high-growth SaaS business in London, backed by strong investment and with ambitious international expansion plans, looking to hire a commercial Legal Counsel.
This is a broad in-house role offering real variety and visibility, working closely with the GC and senior stakeholders across the business.
The role:
* Acting as a key legal contact for the business on day-to-day queries
* Leading on commercial contract negotiations (Software, cloud, vendor and partnership agreements)
* Advising across sales, product, tech and regulatory matters
* Supporting on IP, data and compliance-related issues
* Managing external counsel and supporting on project work
* Helping to improve legal processes, templates and playbooks
* Contributing to regulatory, audit and investor-related workstreams
What they’re looking for:
* Common law qualified solicitor
* Strong commercial contracts experience, ideally within Tech / SaaS / FinTech / Payments
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling business
* Pragmatic, hands-on and able to work closely with non-legal stakeholders
