We have been assigned by one of the UK's most prestigious NHS Trusts to assist in recruiting a Consultant in Haematology on either a Substantive or NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Haematology department.
Our client is one of the largest Trusts in the UK for Emergency Care, with a consultant team of over 48 members, offering a broad range of special interests including establishing hospital units abroad, Pre-hospital Emergency Medicine, medico-legal work, and media engagement. The department has made significant progress in education, with extensive nursing, clinical practitioner, and medical programs, aiming for recognition for excellence in Emergency Medicine education.

Inpatient care is mainly at QEHB, with a dedicated Young Persons Unit for TYA care.
The successful candidate will manage patients with haematological malignancies and disorders, participate in consultative reviews, on-call duties (approximately 1:5 frequency), and support referrals and laboratory services. The role includes participation in clinics (3 per week), morphology reporting, departmental teaching, and engagement in clinical governance and audits. Participation in MDTs, quality meetings, and educational sessions is expected.
Our client's location in the Midlands offers excellent schools, reasonable housing, and great transport links to Birmingham, London, and international airports.
