Safety & Compliance Manager | £75,000 | Leading MRO | Stansted

My client is seeking a Safety & Compliance Manager who can own the safety and compliance of a Part 145 maintenance environment, leading audits, managing certifying staff authorisations, and ensuring full adherence to CAA/EASA regulations.
You will drive continuous improvement across maintenance operations, embed a proactive Safety Management System, and oversee compliance monitoring for both maintenance and FBO operations under IS-BAH standards.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage compliance audits, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
* Develop, document, and implement internal processes, procedures, and standards.
* Oversee competency, training, and authorization records for technical and support staff.
* Submit required notifications and documentation to regulatory authorities.
* Manage the safety management system, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigations.
* Provide safety and compliance reporting to senior management and relevant boards.
* Supervise and develop the safety & compliance team, including performance management.
* Assess subcontractors and monitor external maintenance activities for compliance.
Authorities:
* Direct access to senior management on safety and compliance matters.
* Propose process improvements and additional training.
* Must meet regulatory postholder requirements (e.g., CAA / EASA Form-4).
Qualifications & Skills:
* Strong knowledge of airworthiness and safety regulations (e.g., Part-145, IS-BAH).
* Leadership, interpersonal, and advisory capabilities.
* Auditing and analytical skills; experience with audit management software preferred.
* Microsoft Office proficiency.
* Desirable: Part 66 AML.
