Room Leader
* Location: E16, London
* Salary: £31,000 - £33,000 dependent on experience
* Job Type: Full-time
Join a brand-new Thames River facing nursery and play a meaningful role in shaping its culture and practice from day one. We are seeking a Room Leader who is passionate about providing high-quality teaching, learning, and care in a modern, purpose-built environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of EYFS activities within your room.
* Guide and support practitioners in delivering outstanding interactions and model best practice.
* Oversee daily routines including meals, sleep, toileting, and transitions.
* Ensure accurate observations and assessments are completed, using children’s interests to shape planning and continuous provision.
* Maintain a safe environment, complete regular checks, and follow safeguarding procedures.
* Communicate clearly and professionally with parents and lead daily team briefings and weekly planning meetings.
* Support the emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour of children.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Level 3 Early Years qualification.
* Strong knowledge and experience with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
* Proven ability to lead a small team confidently.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Desirable:
* Experience as a senior practitioner.
* Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or behaviour support training.
