Job Title: Credit Controller
Location: Birmingham -B76
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00
Salary: £33K
Duties:
. As a responsible Credit Controller, you would need to ensure prompt payment of all sales ledger accounts
. Coordinate internally to assist in managing and recovering debts.
. Implement payment plans with guidance from the Credit Manager or Sales team.
. Place accounts on hold if they exceed credit terms or limits.
. Monitor debtor accounts to ensure they stay within approved credit limits.
. The Credit Controller should obtain credit reports and approvals for accounts exceeding limits and based on their credit exposure
. Review bad debts and discuss provisions with the Finance team.
. Monitor ledger for risks and opportunities and report to management.
. Maintain effective controls to protect company assets.
Key requirements
. Adhere and attend to company health and safety policies and trainings.
. As a Credit Controller, you should have a strong academic background with excellent GCSE/A-level results or equivalent.
. Previous experience in credit control.
. Advanced Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel skills.
. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities for financial matters.
. The Credit Controller should be capable of interpreting financial reports to recommend credit limits.
. Detail-oriented with strong administrative and organisational skills.
. Fluent in spoken and written French.
. Willing to work flexible hours as needed to meet business requirements.
