Who this position suits:
The role of a support worker is for anyone who wants to make a real difference, whatever your age, background, or gender (unless the role is gender specific)
You don't need to have worked in care before if you're kind, patient, and willing to learn, we'll support you every step of the way.
It could suit someone who's helped others in customer service, childcare, hospitality, teaching, or volunteering, or someone simply looking for a more meaningful job in the role of support work.

NB: This role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship under current UK Home Office rules, as it does not meet the required salary or skill level criteria.
Whilst we encourage applications to other roles, candidates who already have a valid right to work in the UK through other immigration routes or permissions must meet the minimum eligibility of having at least two years remaining on your current visa.

ABOUT THE SERVICE:
We are a friendly and welcoming home supporting four adults with a range of complex needs, where person-centred care and quality of life are at the heart of everything we do!
Our team of support workers are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment where each individual can live as independently and happily as possible.
The people we support each have unique needs and personalities, Some individuals use wheelchairs and require support with mobility, while others may need a little extra time and patience to process information.
Communication varies from non-verbal to limited verbal skills.
All individuals require support with personal care, medication, and aspects of daily living, with some also needing assistance or encouragement at mealtimes.
As a support worker at this service it is active, engaging, and full of opportunities.
We regularly enjoy outings such as swimming, theatre trips, walks in beautiful local areas, and meals out.
Holidays are an important part of what we offer, ranging from seaside breaks to local getaways.
We also support personal interests, from shopping and pampering sessions like hairdressing and nail care, to spending time with animals through dog walking and therapy visits.
There's always something going on whether its baking, music and karaoke, games, sensory sessions, or simply relaxing together.
We also provide additional wellbeing activities such as massage therapy for some individuals.
We are proud of our supportive team structure, with support staff in place throughout the day and night to ensure everyone receives the care, attention, and companionship they deserve.
Shift examples -
Weekday Day Shifts (Mon-Fri):
5 staff at 8:00am - finish at 2pm or 3pm
Afternoon Shifts:
3 staff 3:00pm - finish at 9:00pm 1 finishes at 8:00pm
Night Shifts:
1 wakeful staff: 9:00pm - 8:00am & 1 sleep staff: 9:00pm 8:00am
