We’re hiring a General Manager for a warm and characterful British restaurant nestled in the heart of Soho. Celebrated for its seasonal menus, local sourcing, and relaxed charm, this venue is a go-to for everything from pre-theatre bites to Sunday roasts and intimate wine evenings.
Rooted in a "farm-to-city" philosophy, the restaurant celebrates the best of British produce-think classic dishes with a refined twist, award-winning English wines, and craft cocktails with homemade touches. With a dedicated chef’s counter and private dining area, it also offers an elevated guest experience for special occasions and events.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced yet intimate setting, with a strong understanding of both operations and guest experience.
The Role:
* Full responsibility for daily operations and team leadership
* Drive exceptional service standards and a warm, welcoming atmosphere
* Oversee recruitment, training, and staff development
* Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams on menu delivery and special
* Manage financial targets, stock control, and labour costs
* Curate local partnerships and support wine-focused events and experiences
Who We’re Looking For:
* A current GM or strong AGM ready to step up
* Proven experience in premium casual dining, gastropubs, or modern British concepts
* Passion for seasonal produce, wine, and genuine hospitality
* Strong commercial acumen and people leadership
* WSET Level 2 or 3 is a big plus
