Overview
To validate the work of all engineers is performed to the required standards as set out by Gas Safety Regulations and Sureserve Compliance. The role includes identifying gaps in engineers' knowledge, feeding back to line managers where additional training is required, and handling complaints that may require site visits, recording the course of events (including poor workmanship, CO concerns and problem jobs). After site visits, you will provide photographic evidence on the PDA, full reports and recommendations. A QC engineer will ensure sufficient QCs are undertaken across the area throughout the year to meet the client\'s needs and demonstrate standards are being met. You will ensure engineers comply with all health and safety requirements and that issued equipment is fit for purpose, including PPE, vehicles and ladders. Regular HSE checks will be conducted with engineers within the contract geography.
Responsibilities
* Validate engineer work to required standards (Gas Safety Regulations and Sureserve Compliance).
* Identify gaps in knowledge and provide feedback to line managers for additional training.
* Visit complaint jobs when necessary, clarify events, and record findings (including workmanship concerns, CO concerns and other issues).
* Provide photographic evidence, full reports and recommendations after site visits.
* Ensure sufficient QC checks are conducted across the area to meet client needs and demonstrate standards are met.
* Ensure engineers comply with health and safety requirements and that issued equipment (PPE, vehicles, ladders) is fit for purpose.
* Conduct regular HSE checks within the geographic coverage of the contract.
Qualifications
* Valid ACS and other relevant gas qualifications.
* Full UK Driving Licence (less than 6 points).
* Experience within Social Housing desirable, but not essential.
