We are seeking an experienced registered Learning Disability Nurse with the above passion and skills to become a registered nurse manager within our learning disability short breaks service. Join us and make a difference together.
The role involves leading and contributing to the effective provision of services to people with a learning disability and additional needs, such as autism.
Using your broad communication skills and evidence-based approach to care, you will work directly with individuals using the service, their families, and support staff in assessment and planning, including supporting those with complex and changing healthcare needs.
Alongside the Community Matron, you will develop the nursing service within the designated Community Learning Disability Service, managing the waiting list and referrals through work allocation, supervision, and support.
You will provide professional support to the Health Manager of the Community Adult Learning Disability Service.
The role includes operational management of the service, providing short breaks and outreach support to individuals with complex and challenging behaviour and autism. You will supervise staff and ensure assessments and care programs are implemented following a positive behaviour support (PBS) model.
