The IT Architect Authority performs market-agnostic technical planning, develops architecture specifications, and assesses the compatibility and integration of products and services to ensure functionality across interdependent technologies.
Typically reports to the Senior IT Architecture Manager.
Job Responsibilities
1. Develops technical stories aligned with architecture principles and standards, collaborating effectively with colleagues.
2. Assists, advises, and executes the design, development, and deployment of digital architecture practices, standards, and innovations.
3. Ensures holistic solution design for future capabilities, considering external dependencies, cross-domain integrations (APIs), and technical enablers.
4. Maintains strong relations with system integrators to ensure solutions align with Vodafone standards, best practices, and business objectives.
5. Collaborates to scout new technologies and vendors to enable innovation and identify technical enablers.
6. Supports strategic planning for large infrastructure initiatives across the product lifecycle.
7. Assists in creating RFPs, evaluating responses, and shortlisting suppliers during procurement processes.
8. Communicates foundational architecture best practices and the implications of disruptive technologies.
9. May provide informal guidance to junior staff.
