We are looking for a Technical Animator to join Blazing Griffin for a 6-month contract to work on an exciting original IP. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a talented, friendly and highly creative team and for this role we are accepting applications from candidates outside the UK and EU. In the role of Technical Animator, you will be responsible for our motion pipeline from creating custom rigs, optimising workflows with scripts, working with the code and design team s to implement in game. Within this role you will: Facilitate the work of the character and animation team Have input into the whole character process working alongside modellers and animators Create custom rigs in Maya with tools and workflows to streamline the animation to game process Be the main point of contact for implementing game animation and characters Set up characters and animations in Unity and collaborat e with code and design teams Implement a shared f acial animation system in Unity Develop a modular character system in Unity Animation retargeting in Maya and Unity Assist in the planning of work with the Art Director and Producer Document animation to game workflows for the project What we’re looking for: 5 years game development experience A solid knowledge of Maya Scripting skills in Mel, Python and C# Unity experience is a must A solid understanding of implementing animation systems with performance in mind A portfolio which demonstrates core skills in rigging as well as quality animation A sound understanding of the princip le s of animation Blazing Griffin Benefits : 33 days annual leave per year for full-time staff (pro rata for part-time and contracts) Extra allowances for Appointments, Compassionate and Dependents leave Employee Assistance Programme through Health Assured Bike to Work scheme Eye care contributions Enhanced Parental Leave and Pay Flexible working where possible Free Yoga membership for Reset Yoga (in Glasgow) Company Pension Scheme
