Responsibilities & Deliverables
* Defining winning play area: which customers, specific areas, go to market.
* Identifying scenarios for winning an identified opportunity, particularly the roles of partners.
* Generating prospective customers in PSS and F2G through initial contact, networking and following‑up sales leads.
* Developing meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty. Selling the benefits of Thales’ biometric‑enabled solutions and services, either directly to the targeted end customer entity or in cooperation with identified prime service providers and partners.
* Preparing for business capture: acting as the customer’s trusted advisor and shaper; understanding customer needs, business context, pain points, hot buttons and the value Thales’ solution will deliver. Identifying potential show‑stoppers in the early phase.
KPIs
* Meet booking goals, sales and individual objectives set in collaboration with the leadership team.
* Maintain quality and profitability of the ongoing funnel and pipeline of business.
Skills & Experience Required
* 5+ years’ experience in a senior sales role in a service or solutions company (ideally biometrics or identity solutions provider).
* Experience and success in selling to UK government through competitive tender process with dialogue and negotiation.
* Excellent interpersonal, listening and consultative sales skills.
* Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
* Results‑oriented, highly self‑motivated, balanced with a team spirit and ability to cooperate to maximise success.
* Ability to think outside of the box and creatively align the company’s capabilities with customers’ pains to be solved.
* Organizational skills for managing opportunities, prospecting for business, working to firm deadlines.
* High degree of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Qualifications Required
* A bachelor’s degree in business or commercial field of study, or A‑level plus relevant vocational qualifications.
Security Clearance Requirements
This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance. Please visit the UKSV website for further guidance.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
