About the Role
This role offers a varied mix of accounts and audit work, providing broad exposure across a diverse client portfolio. The role is 70% accounts and 30% audit. Prior audit experience is helpful but not essential, as full support and training will be provided. The Role
As an Audit & Accounts Semi Senior, you will take responsibility for a broad range of client work while supporting junior colleagues and building strong client relationships.
Accounts & Tax
* Preparing statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP
* Preparing management accounts
* Completing bookkeeping and VAT returns
* Assisting with corporation tax computations
Audit
* Supporting statutory audit assignments
* Assisting with audit planning
* Conducting on-site and remote audit fieldwork
* Ensuring compliance with auditing standards
* Identifying issues, improvements, and opportunities
Team & Client Interaction
* Supervising and supporting junior team members
* Contributing to the development of trainees
* acting as a key point of contact for clients
* Building trusted, long-term client relationships
* Highlighting additional service needs to senior management
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be:
* Part-qualified ACA or ACCA
* Experienced (minimum 2 years) within a UK accountancy practice
* Confident with UK GAAP and core audit principles
* Comfortable managing multiple assignments and deadlines
* A strong communicator who enjoys client interaction
* Ambitious, driven, and seeking long-term progression
Experience with CCH, Sage, Xero, or ProAudit is beneficial but not essential.
