Anderson Strathern is well known for its commercial property practice. We provide mainstream advice to a wide range of clients including retailers, hotel and leisure operators, institutional investors, banks, developers and pension funds and engage in corporate support work.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Real Estate Solicitor (3+ years PQE) to join our highly regarded Glasgow team working with Partner, Fiona McKinnon. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of commercial property matters for a diverse client base that includes investors, developers, funders and corporate occupiers.
You will be involved in a variety of complex and high value transactions across investment, property finance, asset management and corporate support work.
The Role will involve:
Involvement in land acquisition and disposal transactions for a variety of clients including developers, trading businesses, pension funds and other commercial clients
Dealing with leasing work acting for both landlords and tenants in the retail, industrial and office sectors, including day to day management, agreements for leases for new build premises and assignations and sub-letting
Assisting in commercial investment purchase and sale transactions
Acting for a variety of public bodies on the provision of property advice in relation to their estate's strategies, including estate management, disposal of surplus assets, and acquisitions
Providing property support for corporate acquisitions and disposals
Property finance and secured lending for a variety of commercial clients and banks
What you will need to succeed:
Qualified solicitor with up to 3+ years PQE committed to a career in commercial property law
Good interpersonal skills and self-confidence
Strong client relationship and client care skills while delivering high-quality advice
An active interest in business development to gain new clients and growing your own caseload
Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
A proactive, commercial approach with the ability to manage a varied workload and work effectively as part of the team
Manage time effectively to maximise the profitability of your work and develop your organisation and delegation skills
Identify and manage risk effectively in your work
